Junior Canadian Rangers (JCR) Programme 10th Anniversary

1998 - 2008: Junior Canadian Rangers (JCR) Programme 10th Anniversary - Through partnership the tradition continues...

JCR 10th Anniversary Logo

Started in 1998 as a way to provide a structured youth programme that promotes traditional cultures and lifestyles to youth 12 to 18 years old, the JCR Programme has blossomed to 119 communities in remote and isolated areas of Canada.

Three JCR in a race

More than 3300 young people participate in the JCR Programme as an opportunity to learn, grow, and experience skills and activities that are rarely offered anywhere else.

Led by Canadian Rangers, JCR are connected with community role models and elders to develop life, traditional, and outdoor "on-the-land" skills.

The JCR Programme is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2008. Join us in congratulating the youth, Canadian Rangers and all the other support staff, community volunteers and partners that have made this an exemplary youth programme.

My time with the Junior Canadian Rangers is coming to and end, and before it closes up, I would just like to say how thankful and appreciative I am of being part of your organization.
